What this site is, and is not
It is an archive and an explainer about one viral clip. It is not a news organisation, a medical service, or a source of identification for anyone in the video.

Entertainment and media literacy
This site documents a viral meme and uses it to explain how manipulated media spreads. It is not a news outlet, it has no reporters in the field, and it has no relationship with any person, hospital or account mentioned in the coverage.
Unverified media
The clip at the centre of this site is unverified. We do not know who filmed it, where, or when. We believe the facial hair was added digitally and we explain why on the evidence page, but we have not examined the original file and we do not claim to have proven how it was made.
Where we say “confirmed” we mean a primary source exists. Where we say “likely” we mean the evidence converges without direct proof. Where we say “unverified” we mean nobody knows.
Images, video and edits
The video and frames shown here are the real material as it circulated, with the original broadcaster overlay intact. The meme images on the archive page are third-party edits, mostly produced with image models; they are labelled as edits and credited to the thread they appeared in. The clinical lanugo photograph is a different child entirely and is captioned as such.
Health information
The science page describes lanugo, congenital hypertrichosis and medication-related hair growth in general terms. It is not medical advice, it cannot diagnose anyone, and it says nothing about the health of the infant in the video. Always consult a paediatrician about a real child.
No identification of private individuals
We do not publish names, locations, workplaces or any other detail that could identify the baby, the parents, the hospital or the person who filmed the clip. If you send us that information, we will not publish it. Requests from the family are honoured without argument.
Quotation and fair dealing
Short quotations from other outlets are used for criticism, commentary and reporting, with attribution and links. If you own material quoted here and want it changed, contact us and it will be handled promptly.
Advertising
Display advertising appears in four fixed slots per page. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content, and no page on this site is sponsored. We do not accept advertising for infant medical products, hair-removal products, or anything targeted at the family in the video.
